"Money won is twice as sweet as money earned"
Last Week: 2-1
Season: 38-33-1 ATS
With the much appreciated good run by T. Rose, we here at DXP are on a roll. Currently, we are on a 19-10 run over the past month and things only appear to be getting better.
In case you were trying to set a new Blood Alcohol Level high during a Nebraska game, as I try every weekend, you probably missed this Chase "Booger" Daniel highlight of the day. Apparently, the University of Missouri isn't adequately feeding their athletes, and by watching this video, you can clearly see that the athletes must resort to eating uh….well, just watch.

Washington (-19) over Stanford: Tyrone Willingham takes on his former team for the first since he took the Washington job. With Stanford, Willingham had great success and had them on map as he lead them to several bowl games. That was then, this is now. Stanford is 0-9 this year overall and 1-8 ATS. In fact, their average Pac 10 score has been 36-5 - wow! Washington has been in a bit of a slump, but they still have aspirations of going to a bowl and look for them to take advantage of the worst defense in Division 1.
USC (-7) over Oregon: USC has maybe the toughest schedule in the country, and now has to play Oregon, Cal, and Notre Dame in back-to-back-to-back weeks. WR's Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith are healthy and QB Josh Booty has been rolling with confidence the past few weeks. Oregon is coming off two home wins against inferior teams, and with a less than 100% RB Jonathan Stewart, they will not be ready for one of the best offenses and defenses in Division 1.
Texas (-17) over Kansas State: It is amazing that amongst the talk of the Heisman trophy, nobody has bothered to mention Texas QB Colt McCoy. McCoy has 27 TD's to only 4 INT's with a 69% completion percentage (I'm not here to campaign for the kid, but those are all better numbers than Brady Quinn or Troy Smith). Texas WR Sweed is having a great year as are RB's Selvin Young and Jamal Charles. Kansas State QB Josh Freewoman has been getting better and had a breakout game last week against Colorado. However, he is a Freshman and will make plenty of mistakes against one of the nation's best defenses.

Florida State (-8) over Wake Forest: Wake Forest is more over-rated than a Saturday of sobriety. Seriously, who out there is watching a full day of college football drinking iced tea and soda? You get the 'Chode of the Week' Award. Back to the game. The Deamon Deacons are looking to decome 9-1 for the first time in school history and will have to go into hostile environment to do it. Wake has won 5 close games this year with the help of big defensive plays and opponents' mistakes while averaging just 293 total yards per game, which ranks 99th in the NCAA. Wake relies on the run and they'll find moving the ball much more difficult against the Seminoles 8th ranked rushing D than any other team they've faced. FSU's D is coming off a shutout win against Virginia and Xavier Lee should continue to get more comfortable in his 3rd start. This game could be close at half, but we don't see Wake scoring enough to keep the Noles from covering the 8 points.
Western Michigan (+5.5) over Central Michigan: This game is most likely for a trip to the MAC championship game to play Frank Solich's Bobcats of Ohio. Central has the more explosive offense scoring 30 or more in 4 of the last 5 games while their defense ranks 81st in the country. Western Michigan has a balanced rushing and passing attack and QB Cubit has been effective this year ranking in the Top 50 in total offense and passing efficiency in the country. Not bad for the MAC. Western Michigan has the #7 rush D and #20 total D in the NCAA. We'll side with the Broncos defense to keep this one within the spread.
West Virginia (-18) over Cincinnati: West Virginia has to be as frusterated as Hugh Hefner without Viagra after piling up over 350 yards rushing and almost 600 yards of total offense while losing at Louisville last week. The Mountaineers have had a long week to get healthy and will be looking to get back on the field show the country they are still a Top 5 offense. Cincy's D has only given up 30 or more twice this season (Pitt and Ohio State), played Louisville to within a touchdown, and has given up just 9 points over the past 2 weeks. They find themselves in a bad spot here and we'll take West Virginia to score early and often against the over-matched Bearcats.
