As expected, Georgia took the #1 spot (first time ever) in the just released coaches preseason poll. However, as I've said before, their schedule is too brutal - @ S. Caroina, @ Arizona State, Alabama, Tennessee, @ LSU, @ Florida, @ Auburn, Georgia Tech, and maybe SEC championship. Mission impossible. USC, on the other hand, only has to survive Ohio State at home in September and the rest of the way in easy sailing. Oklahoma also sits good in that they have Texas and then Texas Tech at home and that's it. I was kind of surprised to see that Nebraska received 17 votes (36th overall). You've got to wonder if any of the coaches have seen our two deep on defense.
