The Cleveland Browns have officially shown former Husker Bo Ruud the door. Ruud, who was a sixth-round pick by New England in 2008, missed all of last season recovering from a knee injury before being picked up by the Browns last April. Whether or not Ruud will get another chance in the NFL is not certain as the season draws near. If you recall, Ruud first experienced knee problems against Texas A&M in 2007 that caused him to miss almost three full games as a senior. It's obvious he was never right after the injury.
On a somewhat related note, let's hope Bo's brother, Barrett, can continue to excel with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. In Barrett's first three seasons in the NFL, he has recorded a total of 325 tackles - including a career high of 137 last season.
