When you study football like I do (365 days a year) you end up reading A LOT of college football stories. I am amazed the writers across the country continue to write how the new defensive coordinator is running a more aggressive attacking defense than his predecessor. This is of course what the fans want to hear but if EVERY new defensive coordinator runs a more aggressive attacking defense than his predecessor said he was going to run you wonder if teams would not by now be rushing ALL ELEVEN players on an all out blitz.
If you go back in past papers you will see that when the coordinator that preceded the new DC at every school said the exact same thing as did his predecessor etc. The news flash would be if a coordinator came in and said they were going to run a defense that relies on every player sticking to his responsibilities and not allowing big plays.

How True is This?
I don't know why, but this cracked me up. Who knew Phil Steele was so snarky.
