Erin Andrews Video Updates; Video Not Shot in Omaha

It's come to my attention that some of you are absolutely bewildered as to why we haven't been all over this Erin Andrews naked peephole saga more. Sure, I've been trying to keep up with this story as much as the next blogger, but the truth is that this is getting uglier and more bizarre by the minute and no groundbreaking news has happened since the video itself first surfaced. With that in mind, let me fill you in on what I know.

First, I've been keeping up with this story through Deadspin - the gold standard for stories such as this. Below is the rundown of the events that have happened since last Thursday.
Secondly, despite what you might have read or heard through rumor (like from Fox 42 News in Omaha), Omaha police say this video was NOT shot in Omaha during the College World Series.

EA's attorney, Marshall Grossman, will seek criminal charges and file civil lawsuits against the unknown cameraman and anyone who publishes the material. This is why you'd have to look long and hard for the video and this is why if there has ever been anyone to defy lawyers, authorities, or ESPN, it's Barstool Sports (out of Boston) - your go-to blog when everyone else runs and hides.

Where this chain of events leads us to next is anyone's guess. The bottom line is that this kind of publicity has turned into a PR nightmare for ESPN and Erin Andrews. And what makes matters worse is that this pervert that probably went to an online spy shop and bought this video surveillance equipment after he found out Erin was coming to town is proving to be quite the professional criminal. It's been almost 5 full days and still nothing.

Erin Andrews Takes a Ball to the Chin; Lives to Work the Sidelines this Fall

College football fans everywhere can take a big sigh of relief.

TMZ reports that Erin Andrews will be okay after she was hit by a foul ball from the New York Mets' Alex Cora on Wednesday night. EA was rushed to the hospital soon after the incident and after hours of examinations performed by every male doctor in the emergency room, the discharge summary simply read "bruised chin." This ends the terrifying speculation that the undisputed hottest sideline reporter on television today had any structural damage to her face.

ESPN just released the following statement:
"She's totally fine. The producers on site suggested she go to the hospital as a precaution. Doctors released her soon thereafter. She flew home as scheduled and is looking forward to working MLB All-Star events and the ESPYs in the coming week."
No word yet if Erin will continue to work baseball this summer from the field and jeopardize ESPN/ABC's college football monopoly.

NCAA Football 10: If Erin's in the Game, I'm in the Game

EA Sports calls this an 'In-Game Screenshot.' ROFLMAO. Screenshot.

The internet has had a little buzz lately about Erin Andrews' personal life. To catch up, EA is now supposedly dating this guy after he dumped this girl, who is the same home wrecker that caused that guy to divorce this wife a little over a year ago. And if that doesn't blow your mind, a certain website claims to have word straight from the locker room that EA is a.... well, if you're curious (and as a male, you should be) then read here. Let me stress it's a rumor. I don't start them - I just help spread them.

Anyways, Erin Andrews will be featured as a sideline reporter in EA SPORTS NCAA Football 10 for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3. Christmas will come this summer on Tuesday, July 14th and the game will have 4 different cover athletes that have yet to be determined.

The '2009 Sexiest Sportscaster of the Year' Winner

Last weekend, Playboy crowned the '2009 Sexiest Sportscaster of the Year' winner. Although DXP's Top 10 ESPN Reporter "Would You?" Edition and Fox Sports vs. ESPN....Who Ya Got? was a little more elaborate, Playboy did make their contest a little more interesting this time around with their new two-round voting format. It surely made the competition and the readers a little more stiff as opposed to the single-round format of years past. Five contestants reached the 2009 finals and in no particular order, they were:

1. Bonnie Bernstein (Fansite! and Webpage!)

2. Charissa Thompson

3. Erin Andrews

4. Lauren Shehadi

5. Molly Sullivan (MySpace page - not that I'm stalking her or anything)

And the winner was.... Erin Andrews. Bleh.

Alright,I guess we should first give congratulations to the lovely Erin even though Molly Sullivan is the clear winner among these five choices. That's now two years in a row Erin has walked away with the most prestigious honor in sports television.

Secondly, I need to address Lauren Shehadi making it to the finals. Shannon Spake, Stacey Dales, Nicole Manske, Lindsay Soto, Mary Strong, Colleen Dominguez, and Lisa Dergan -- all hotter. You would even think that with the struggling newspaper and magazine business, Playboy would at least throw a bone to its own Lisa Dergan, who was Miss July 1998. I'm sure Lauren Shehadi is a nice person and good at what she does, but as far as looks go, she is in Double A when compared to the Major Leaguers just mentioned. She looks way too much like a mom you would pick up at a local PTA meeting as opposed to Playboy centerfold material.

And finally, I'd love to see a certain Ines Sainz (MySpace - not that I'm stalking her to or anything) join the competition next year to make things more interesting. If Playboy does allow Ines to join this elite sportscaster contest next year, I'm sure EA won't be sleeping easy. I've given this soccer beauty some face time before on DXP (here, here, and here), but in case you forgot, meet the woman who will be the '2010 Sexiest Sportscaster of the Year' after Hugh Heffner receives my petition to put her on the ballot.

Lo sentimos Erin, usted no Ines.

USC LB Rey Maualuga and Erin Andrews Get Their Freak On

Alright, maybe it's only Rey Maualaga that gets his freak on. Anyways, there are two things you can take home from this video. The first is to say that Rey doesn't care what others think of him might be the understatement of the year. Second, Erin Andrews needs a vacation. Don't worry Rey. It's not you, it's her.

The Jenn Sterger and Erin Andrews Catfight

When I sleep at night, this is what I dream about. This is the single best thing that has happened since White Owl got engaged to a 22 year old. Jenn Sterger is speaking in public again. Jenn recently tore into Erin Andrews and Jill Arrington.

Last week on ESPN 1470 in Tampa Bay, Jenn had this to say about Erin.

"She’s very talented. But it’s so funny because if you look at her old tapes back when she worked at the Lightning, it was the most dreadful stuff you’ve ever seen in your life. People compare me and say, well, she’s no Erin Andrews … and I’m like, well, who’s No. 1 on the computer. Suck it.”

Jenn goes on to say this about Jill Arrington.

"Oh, no, not my thing. I just don’t want to get that haircut and wear turtlenecks for a living. It’s just not my shtick. If there’s ever a chance for a hot girl to make it into sports, until then …"

As the interview continued, she would go on to say Derek Jeter "isn't my type" and when asked about who TV executives look for when hiring sports personalities, she says this: "They call it half pregnant: They want the hot chick, but they don’t want her to be completely hot."

First of all, who made you number one on the computer? Secondly, maybe you should stop doing Playboy (NSFW) and go back to school and get a journalism or communications degree. And finally, half-pregnant? Wow.

So who ya got?

Erin Andrews Has Touched Down

It couldn't be a better day. It's Friday and Erin Andrews is in the same city right at this moment. I'm currently camped at the hotel bar waiting for her to come back. But first, since I have some time to kill, here is a College World Series tribute to the one and only EA.

The Return of Erin Andrews

She's baaaaaaaack! Wave to all of the DXP readers Erin!

It's been far too long since we have featured our weekly Erin Andrews pictures but don't fret. She's back and better than ever. Each week I'll do a different theme with the lovely Erin from pictures with douche bags to coaches to players to different body features. I figure let's start with one of her best assets. The theme this week needs no explaining.

Welcome back.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week

Have I mentioned that teaching summer courses blows? The pace is ridiculous and I actually feel sorry for my students. Anyway, does anyone find the Google Reader links useful? I spend a ton of time on mine so I figured I would just start sharing interesting finds with Nebraska fans.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week

Outside of non-stop bickering from Mizzou fans regarding the Gabbert commitment, there just isn't that much going on in Husker Nation.

I've secured some tapes of 2006 games so I can add details to my efforts to chart every offensive play. I hope to have that completed sometime before the 2007 season. Actually it shouldn't take that long. Hopefully it will prove to be a worthwhile endeavor. I've already had tons of fun analyzing the data that I do have. But then again, I'm a big nerd.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week and Some Help

Ok, so I mentioned a pet project the other day, and I could use some help with it. I've decided to chart every play from Nebraska's 2006 season. So far I have 10 out of the 14 games done. This should be pretty cool once I have it done as it will allow for even deeper analysis. I will be able to break down play selection by down, distance and field possession and hopefully highlight some tendencies. I'll also be able to better analyze the value of individual players based on their contributions at important times in the games.

Where I could use some help is in locating game footage. So far I've been limited to using the official play-by-play data sheets to extrapolate the information. I would like to be able to use game tape to add the formations, type of pass or run, etc. Unfortunately I no longer have any of the games from last season. My DVR sucks! So if you or anyone you know has any of the games on DVD/Tape or electronic file I would love to get my hands on it.

My thought process is that this might be as close as we as fans can get as far as getting into Callahan's head. I feel somewhat qualified to take this on as my never-ending insomnia gives me ample late night opportunities for data entry and my stat-geekery knows no bounds.

So anyway, if you or someone you know can help you can contact me at JAdams1277 (AT) aol.com.

Thanks.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week And FSU Memories

I hate to give her more exposure, but this one hit close to home, as Jenn Sterger’s Florida State Road Trip hit SI on Campus. Given that I spent three years in the coed Mecca that is Tallahassee, I thought I would evaluate how Jenn did with her favorite Tally hotspots.
Best place to celebrate a big win: Tennessee Street.

The Strip, as we call it, is a mecca for Tallahassee nightlife. From dive bars (The Pub), to '80s for the ladies (Yanni's), it has a little something for everyone. Not to mention its where my fellow Cowgirl Allison and newbie Jessica hold down sweet bartending gigs at Big Daddy's -- ranked one of the craziest bars in the country. So don't be surprised if you hear a little Charlie Daniels and some bar stomping on a Thursday night ... things are probably just getting started.
Jenn’s right on here, although my opinion on some of the bars she singled out differs slightly. Tennessee Street is like “O” Street on steroids. Literally. The guys are seriously meatheads. But the girls are tan, outgoing, and scantily-clad. What more could you ask for?
Best landmark:

The Capitol Building. Located next to Doak, it's better known for being an enormous phallic symbol. If you have to ask what I am talking about, I'm sure Google images can assist you.
I was shocked to learn that I had traded one phallic state capital structure for another. Florida’s version is far worse, however. It even has balls.
Best place for a guy's night out:

The Palace Saloon. Forget the '80s music and girly cocktails. When the male population of Florida State needs to cut loose, they head to the Palace. The place just screams manliness: the lack of décor (aside from beer and sports neons), the abundance of pool tables and dartboards and the absence of any drink that requires a straw. Considering Tallahassee is devoid of gentleman's clubs, the Palace offers a retreat from the girlfriend's nagging, without the need for further explanation.
Again Jenn was right on. The Palace is the best. Bonus points for being located a block from my apartment. This is the bar that provided the motivation for my first solo trek to a drinking establishment. Shortly after moving Tally, and before I had met anyone, the siren call of cheap Bud Light was too great to resist. I soon became a happy hour regular.
Best place to grab a slice:

Momo's. Pizza is a college student's main source of nutrition, and Momo's does its part to make sure no student goes hungry. The slices they serve up redefine huge: They are as big as your head!! And that is no exaggeration.
More of the parallel world stuff. I went from LaBamba’s and “burritos as big as your head” to Momo’s with “pizza slices as big as your head”. Both were great drunk food and I’m just happy to have a fast metabolism.
Best pregame ritual:

The Village. Most schools have a special place to gather on game days... a building, a parking lot ... but Tallahassee has an entire village. The tenants of the apartment complex adjacent to Doak Campbell open up their homes, their hearts and their coolers to Seminole fans and visitors alike. Though visitors in blue and orange may get a bit of heckling, the kids that gather at the village are simply there to enjoy the pregame festivities and have a good time. Maybe it takes a 'village to raise a fan,' too.
My first home game, I was absolutely stunned to find out a place like the Village actually existed. Imagine a cul-de-sac of small duplex-type apartments. Each with its own keg and or/bar service. Now add several thousand students and you have the greatest pre-game atmosphere I have ever encountered. This place is where red solo cups go to die.
Hidden gem:

Club Publix. Normally the hardest decision you face when you go to the grocery store is paper or plastic. But imagine a place where shopping is more than just a pleasure, it's a place to meet your future ex-girlfriend. Some of the hottest girls in Tallahassee can be found as close as your nearest grocer's freezer. So now it's not just paper or plastic ... it's blonde, brunette or redhead.
Holy crap, I suddenly have a teensy-weensy bit of respect for Ms. Sterger. Publix is the Sistine Chapel of shopping excursions. Single guys in Tally were known to do their weekly shopping one item per trip, allowing ample time to gaze at the scenery. The only hidden gem that could perhaps compete was the weight room at the student recreation center. I used to joke that it was like working out at the Playboy Grotto. I don’t know what they put in sports bras, but it must be tougher than Kevlar. If you ever get the chance to watch a busty blonde hit the pec deck machine, I recommend you stare. A lot.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week, Etc.

I figured we hadn't put a shot of Poopsie up for a while, so here ya go. Also, I've decided to retool the Charting Our Progress series I had started. I didn't really like the way it was going, and it didn't match my original intentions. I plan on having the first of the new versions up on Monday and I think it will be more meaningful.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week - March Madness

Wow, I just had my worst first day ever in an NCAA pick'em. How bad was it? My fiancé, completing her first bracket ever(!) has a two game advantage over me. I went an abysmal 11/16 (even after picking VCU over Duke), while the GWFJHIL is an incredible 13/16. The bet is that GWFJHIL gets a new pair of shoes should she beat me. The bottom line - never underestimate the power of Jimmy Choo!

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week - Spring Break Edition

Well, I wish that meant bikinis or body shots from the guest of honor, but alas it's not to be.

Erin Andrews Picture of the Week

The face that makes ESPN/ABC tolerable. There's not a lot I wouldn't do just to hear her smile.
